The game will feature two left-handed starting pitchers, as the Netherlands’ Diegomar Markwell and Venezuela's Jhonatan Diaz take the mound.

A veteran of 22 professional baseball seasons, Markwel has a perfect 5-0 record this season in the Dutch Hoofdklasse, with a 1.45 ERA in 6 starts. The lefty pitched 1.2 innings in relief in the Premier12 2019 in 2 appearances, with 1 run allowed and 1 strikeout.

Diaz will take the mound for a Venezuela team that will to rebound from a 10-7 opening game loss against the Dominican Republic.
